Roll on 2021!

It goes without saying that 2020 has been a year like no other in living memory. The Coronavirus pandemic has impacted on us all in one way or another and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have visited the clinic since we re-opened in June for bearing with us, for the extra measures we took that you had to put up with, the screening questionnaires, the mask wearing, and in particular a special thank you to those people who had their planned procedures disrupted, rescheduled or even cancelled.

I would also like to thank the staff at Purity Bridge, who have adapted and learnt a new way of working both during lockdown and since the re-start. Demand has been high since we re-opened and the team at Purity Bridge have coped brilliantly with juggling the emails, phone calls, hospital liaison, dealing with our suppliers and of course, with all of our patients and friends of the clinic.

We have big plans for 2021, with the construction of more operating facilities in the clinic itself. Building work is due to start downstairs in the basement (which is on street level at the back of the building) at Christmas. Once finished and regulatory approval has been signed off, we hope to be able to offer a wider range of procedures “in house”. This will help give us the opportunity to maintain the highest level of personal care we pride ourselves on at every step of the plastic surgery journey. There will be safety guidelines that will establish the range of procedures we will undertake as well as patient eligibility criteria to maximise the well-being and safety of our patients having procedures at Purity Bridge. Other procedures will still be undertaken at one of the nearby leading private hospitals so we can continue to offer a wide range of surgical procedures to all of our patients.

We are excited to welcome Consultant Plastic Surgeon Mr Chris Macdonald to the team. Chris has an NHS Consultant post at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, and has experience in a range of both surgical and non-surgical aesthetic procedures. More about Chris in the newsletter!

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy 2021 – whatever tier you are in, and whatever your personal circumstances! Roll on 2021!

Best wishes,

Marc Pacifico
