Labiaplasty is reshaping and usually reducing of the labia minora (inner labia) (most commonly) and/or labia majora (outer labia).
Labiaplasty can be performed under local anaesthetic (while you are awake but the area is numbed) or general anaesthetic. It is a day case procedure.
Labiaplasty can improve physical comfort of the genital area including in tighter clothing, during exercise, during sexual intercourse, less visibility of labia in swimwear and tighter clothing, less self-consciousness including during intimacy.

Labiaplasty typically takes between one and two hours depending on the amount of tissue being treated and the technique used.
The procedure is usually performed as a day-case operation.
Most patients require around one to two weeks of reduced activity while the area heals.
Swelling is expected initially and gradually settles over several weeks.
Labiaplasty can improve both comfort and confidence. Some women seek treatment because enlarged labial tissue causes discomfort during exercise, intimacy or when wearing certain clothing.
