Brow lift

Brow Lift Treatment in Tunbridge Wells, Kent

Brow lifts are done to improve the position of your eyebrows (usually elevating them to a higher position) and rejuvenate your upper eye area. Sometimes they are also done to stabilise your eyebrow position if it would be affected by other nearby surgery or to rejuvenate your forehead area as well. Brow lifts are also a way of treating nerve injuries to the frontal branch of your facial nerve.

What does it involve?

There are many different types and extents of brow lift as the type of effect needed can vary from person to person. Some of the most common types are:

  • Direct brow lift where your eyebrow is repositioned using an incision hidden along the upper line of your eyebrow
  • Temporal brow lift where the incision is hidden in your temple hairline and your eyebrow is lifted by tunnelling underneath the tissues between your hairline and your eyebrow and using internal sutures to hold the new position
  • Gliding brow lift where small incisions in your hairline are used to tunnel under the skin, release your eyebrow and hold it in the new position with an external suture net
  • Endoscopic brow lift where again small incisions are made in your hairline and tunnelling is used to release and re-position your eyebrow. This is then held in place using long-lasting but absorbable devices under the skin.
